Cordale's Younger Tenants Ride High at Cordale Fun Day
Date Posted: 21st of August 2017
Over 100 local tenants, residents and children attended Small Housing Association of the Year Cordale’s Annual Fun Day on Saturday.
Cordale used the event to launch the new Repairs Handbook, and to talk to tenants about future plans and initiatives; with a chance for tenants to enter a free prize draw by completing some surveys on tenant engagement and the charter.
There was entertainment for local children throughout the event with balloon modelling, face painting and glitter tattoos, fun mascots, a magic show and a children’s drawing competition. The local fire crew also came along and the children had the chance to sit in the fire engine and hear all about how it works.
Several local organisations; including Citizens Advice Bureau, Alzheimer Scotland, West Dunbartonshire Community Food share, Police Scotland, The Leamy Foundation and West Dunbartonshire Learners Voice were also on hand to provide information and advice.
The day was completed with free hotdogs and burgers for everyone and sweets for the children too.
Cordale Housing Association Area Director Barry Johnstone said “Congratulations to Nancy Robertson, Community Engagement Officer and the Cordale staff for holding another successful open day. It was clear everyone attending had a great time. These events are important to Cordale helping develop good connections with residents and highlighting how the association can make a difference”.
