SHR (Scottish Housing Regulator) is the regulator of Registered Social Landlords and the housing and homeless services provided by local authorities in Scotland.  As such it regulates to protect the interests of people who receive the services we provide.  It's Regulatory Framework provides more information about how it does this. 

In short it monitors, assesses and reports on landlords' performance of housing activities and RSLs' financial wellbeing and standards of governance, and can take action where improvements are needed.  An important part of this involves checking that landlords are assuring themselves that they are meeting regulatory requirements.

Each year SHR makes a Regulatory Assessment of us, using a risk-based and proportionate approach.  Our annual Engagement Plan provides more information about the outcome of this assessment.

SHR also keeps a Directory of all social landlords, which contains information you may find useful.


Reporting Significant Performance Failures to the Scottish Housing Regulator
A significant performance failure is something that we do, or fail to do, that puts the interests of our tenants at risk. This is something that does, or could, affect all of our tenants.

If we do not deal with the failure, you can contact the Scottish Housing Regulator (SHR). SHR has a Significant Performance Failure Factsheet which provides more information on what you should do and how to raise your concerns.  This includes a reporting form, which you can use.
