Cordale Housing Association Holds Successful AGM with Exciting Updates for the Year Ahead
Cordale Housing Association held its Annual General Meeting (AGM) last night, marking another successful year of progress and community engagement. The event, held in a hybrid format with both in-person and online attendance, provided a comprehensive overview of the achievements and future priorities for Cordale Housing Association.
Key Highlights from the 2023-24 Annual Report:
- Dalquhurn Development: We are delighted that work has started on the highly anticipated Dalquhurn development. This £5.4 million project will deliver 25 new, high-quality, energy-efficient homes in Renton, including 15 two-bedroom, 8 three-bedroom, and 2 four-bedroom houses. The homes are scheduled for completion by August 2025, and they will provide much-needed affordable housing in the area.
- Tenant Satisfaction Improvements: This year saw a significant improvement in tenant satisfaction across key areas, including the quality of homes, repairs services, and neighbourhood management. An impressive 86.4% of tenants expressed satisfaction with the quality of their homes, a substantial increase from 2021’s 79.5%.
- Investment in Existing Homes: A total of £910,297 was invested in capital improvements and maintenance, including kitchen upgrades, new boilers, window replacements, and bathroom refurbishments. These improvements have enhanced energy efficiency and the comfort of tenants’ homes.
- Community Initiatives: Cordale has continued its commitment to supporting local communities through initiatives such as the Big Energy Saving Week, cost-of-living advice events, and donations to local schools and food banks. These efforts demonstrate our dedication to making a positive impact on residents’ lives.
Martin Walker, Chair of Cordale Housing Management Committee, expressed his enthusiasm for the upcoming projects and the Association’s ongoing dedication to tenants: “We are delighted that work has finally started on the new homes at Dalquhurn, which marks an important milestone for Cordale and the community. Our focus remains on delivering the best possible services to our tenants, and we will continue to do so with the same commitment in the years ahead.”
Cordale Housing Association remains steadfast in its mission to provide quality, affordable housing while enhancing the lives of tenants and supporting the local community. As we look forward to the completion of the Dalquhurn development and other exciting initiatives, we are confident that the coming year will bring even more positive outcomes.
